The
Brocon and non Broccon Pass is located on a Pass between the Vanoi Valley and
the Tesino Valley at 1.616 mt. This is a very wide Pass, that for approximately
4km is level and is almost a small highland.
It has
played an important role in History because of its strategic position in the two
World Wars.
We
can still find the underground bunkers and the trenches dug by Austrian Army.
Now the
pass is a place which, during summer season, is focused on tourism and offers
excursions and trips with very beautiful views.
Another
source of income is pasture of cattle with the production of milk and
consequently of cheese such as Asiago and Grana Padano.
The
winter season is based on the skiing with a wide choice of snow activities, from
alpinism to cross-country skiing, bobsleigh, excursions with snow-shoes….and
much more.
It is a
popular location hunted for elementary and middle schools for the traditional
ski week because of the great variety of activities.
